Seems like a terrible use of AA, you couldn't find anything else available? I wouldn't pay 107k for that routing. I'm assuming that was a web special so you couldn't combine the awards?

fully refundable so i wanted to make sure i have something locked in. pros: it is AA F web special and low taxes.

It's not worth it IMO if you can find something in J for less.

i did auh-doh-jfk online
called in to add tlv-auh bec couldnt do online. etihad not showing on AA
also called some other partners air europa, asiana etc while waiting for AA to call me back to add

They didn't give you any trouble? In the past, I recall that changing from a OW award to a OW+EY award required them to cancel and rebook the whole thing, so if they changed that and now you can tack on EY flights at either end (changing the departing airport) that's great!

the agent actually suggested to add it in. i called seeing if it was available and he said i was booked in j (for the doh-jfk) so for this medium segment, he would check J first and then just threw it onto the res and added about $10 in fees
