Yes. This month.

I’m taking the RJ TLV-JFK via AMM on October 20. (J class)
Cost was 100K sapphire Reserve points.
Your 70k AA points sounds like a good deal.

Please remember to share your whole experience on RJ. Especially the
kosher food situation on the plane. There are reports of food not being
too good. Also, If you go into the crown lounge  in AMM , please report
Back if there is any kosher food/ snacks available.

Thanks!

Was your cost for RT or one way ?

I'm not complaining on the 70k, the 180k is what boggles me

The 100k was one way.
Seems like one has to ante up to get nonstop.
There are ways to get good deals with El Al nonstop via Qantas points.
I believe you can do it with AMEX,  Capital one or citi
Thank you points.
I’ll let the experts explain it better.

EWR-IAD-DEL 302.4k UA

...orrrrrr, book it as a multi city with the first leg in Y for 97.2k
In your case , when you checked IAD- DEL was it also less then 97k ? Or IAD DEL was also 302k?

ANC-FRA-TLL

EW 333 J (essentially LH J)
LH 32N "J"

70k AC

Certainly one of the weirdest flights I've ever booked. It may even beat my recent TLV-AMM-FRA-ZRH-OSL-BOO-LKN insanity.

Why the heck does ANC-FRA even exist? I mean I'm mighty glad it's there, but...

Best part is that it isn't even the weirdest Alaska flight: there's a FAI-FRA too.

These things make my brain hurt. My favorite is that JNB-EWR is like 500 miles shorter than JNB-ATL.

This is absolutely for cargo or specialty machined parts for Arctic exploration. Think Ice Road Truckers
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Lots of German tourists visiting Alaska / Yukon supposedly. Lucky actually flew the YXY-FRA route and reviewed it.

Am I considered dumb to pay that price for a one way award or even players sometimes have to do that ?..
180k AA is actually by far the lowest price for a last-seat on the route and it is surprising AA maintains it

I really thought you were joking till I checked. It definitely makes my brain hurt.
I flew ATL-ANC for 7 hours west last summer, and it actually got me closer to Europe?!

Not that it makes a real difference, but this is pathetic:
