im not convinced that bmi diamond points are going to merge with miles and more
i spoke to diamond club and i spoke to a lady who seemed well versed in the program and she told me only accounts based out of israel are going to be merged since they are stopping bmi's routes from israel

Since Jan 10, 2010 they stopped operating LHR-TLV, so I'm not sure if this reasoning is correct, as other places they stopped serving, such as AMS-LHR, they abolished much faster.

The BMI deal between TLV-CPT is so good that if some fees are going to withhold you from using them, you should be locked up in an institution.
Very little mileage, which you could do part cash/miles, and every direction you could visit europe + if supposedly your destination is mauritius, you can fly there also.

have you stopped in europe on the cpt-tlv route? this lady said that you cant stopover (+24hours) in zone 1 or 2
maybe she really doesnt know anything!

Have not tried more than 24 hours, BUT, I believe that according to *A policy, when doing a return ticket which is NOT open jaw, they have to allow one stop.

I would go for 2x one way, as you cannot really change once you bein your journey.

All israeli and dutch accounts have been merged into miles and more a few month ago. You cant have a BMI account from those countries anymore. Bmi will pro be merged to miles and more within 12 month, most people think midyear 2011

According to the T&C no stop overs are allowed in Europe.
