According to the T&C no stop overs are allowed in Europe.

I believe that the rule only applies to itineraries that begin in Europe.

All connecting flights for journeys where the final destination is within zone 1 or zone 2 will be charged at 7500 miles

9 No stop-overs are permitted within Europe. Outside of Europe one stop-over is permitted. A stop-over is a lapse of at least 24 hours between your arrival and departure at any transfer point, i.e. if travelling from London Heathrow to Singapore via Frankfurt, you would not be able to stay in Frankfurt for more than 24 hours.

I have had an operator that wanted me to have a stop over in London but I insisted on having a stop over outside of Europe. I got told it is invalid routing to have a connection in London when we tried to book... May try and get a London stop over but I don't want to pay the ridiculous London stop over tax for such a short stop over.

superflyer
you said on one way bookings you could change flights, is there a charge though?
i think the taxes/gas in total are less if you do a return ticket then if you decide to do 2 one ways.. true or false?

London tax only applies to stops of 24+hours.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

There is still a tax for shorter stop overs. 23 quid IIRC.

They might cost a little more, but hey, you shift happens, and with a return tix, you are pretty much "dividend-award", once you took your first flight.

@ Andrew:

Since Jan 10, 2010 they stopped operating LHR-TLV, so I'm not sure if this reasoning is correct, as other places they stopped serving, such as AMS-LHR, they abolished much faster.

The BMI deal between TLV-CPT is so good that if some fees are going to withhold you from using them, you should be locked up in an institution.
Very little mileage, which you could do part cash/miles, and every direction you could visit europe + if supposedly your destination is mauritius, you can fly there also.
(SF - I searched, but couldn't find this until you said BMI.)

Anybody know how can I get more than 24k in a single BMI acct? (buying @ hotel programs & transferring etc.)?
TIA

That's not how it works with BMI, they just fix a price to every airport, and add it up.

For instance ZRH cost more than FRA, although the truth should be the opposite.

If you make lots of stops = lots of airports, you could get well over $1000 tax.

I've seen once an excel sheet, where someone added all airports and prices for bmi...

To amswer you: if bmi forgot to attribute a value, or decided to go cheap on the US hubs, you are good.

you can do 24k miles per account so just open as many accounts as you need and you can merge them family style very easily on their site which allows everyone in the merger to use each others miles
