Today I received a letter from Barclaycard that they were modifying certain terms of "your Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard". The first change is the Penalty APR and related provisions have been removed from your Cardmember agreement-This means that we will not automatically increase your APR to a Penalty APR when you make a late payment. That's not a problem for me because I have automatic payment to my card. The 2nd modification states effective October 1, 2014 "we may, from time to time, obtain employment and income data from third parties to assist us in the ongoing administration of your account" I guess Barclay wants to keep an eye on their creditcard users to see how they are using their credit.
