True story:

Customer calls to inquire about her order.
Me: we submitted your order yesterday
Customer: Okay but there's a problem
Me: what is the problem?
Customer: You see I can't find my credit card
Me: and?
Customer: I don't know where it is!
Me: so what's the problem?
Customer: It's not in my purse! I have no idea where it is!!
Me: so why is there a problem with your order?
Customer: Because I don't know where my CREDIT CARD is! I can't find it ANYWHERE!
Me: are you trying to tell me that you are  going to cancel the card?
Customer: well I'm going to keep looking, but if I don't find it I'm going to cancel it
Me: okay, so let me know if you end up canceling your card. We'll contact you if there are any problems with the order
Customer: Okay

20 minutes later she calls back - "I found the card"

That's not the part that bothered me. Why not tell me "I may be cancelling my card, so if you have issues with the payment let me know."?
We would have called her if it declined anyways...

when he made a stupid comment that I must have been in the bathroom that day in yeshiva I told him that actually I only converted to Judaism a few years back
that shut him up
