Great Book
« on: August 21, 2014, 10:51:18 AM »
The Parnassah Guide (a new book full of useful information for the frum person looking to start out on a career path) is available for $14.99 from www.parnassahguide.com. That includes shipping.

Included is a list of the different courses available through frum and some online programs/ colleges, tons of career descriptions, exercises that'll help you decide which career is right for you, tips for resumes and interviews etc...

You can send your daughter off to seminary with the book so she can come back with a clear career path in mind. It's a smart purchase for $14.99.

This PG is trying to do a service for klal yisrael. There are many people who are lost, trying to find their way. Why do you need to refer him to the forum rules?

Well I believed based on his first post being about the book and his name 'pg' that he was advertising his book. If that is not the case then I apologize and wish him the best of luck

I never said he wasn't advertising. I'm not sure either way. But even if he is advertising, I think you should let him be bc of the service he's doing for klal yisrael.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Parnassah Guide is a non profit service for the community, then it wouldn't go against the forum rules. Even if they charge a little to cover expenses.

I don't see a non-profit exception in Dan's post.  Imagine if every non-profit would start posting here.   Ugh...

If Dan chooses to enforce his own rules then let him do so.  I don't think he needs policemen.

Also odd that PG registered today, just to post this... if I was a mod, I would look at IP addresses

I think the fact that the user is named "PG" kind of gave it away.  I don't think he/she was trying to keep his/her identity hidden.
