Just to confirm... Best way is to look up availability on delta.com & call VA to book it & figuring the 25% bonus from the SPG transfer the total mileage needed RT should be 13,800
Right?

I believe - if they find the availability they can ticket it, the problem is that sometimes they claim that its not available.

Might make a small hop over to YUL soon, avios is not available for my dates. Don't have access to V Australia points, so would be going with united miles if confirmed. United has two flights available, one on UA from EWR and one on AC from LGA. Question is for someone living in Brooklyn, what would you choose? UA option, 10k miles, but have to shlepp to EWR (either expensive taxi or NJT), plus turbo plane. Or AC option, an additional 2k miles, but leaving from LGA and on a regional jet.

I would do AC because of LGA. Btw, if you have amex points you can transfer to aeroplan and pay only 7.5K. YQ on that is around $50.

If you have Jet Airways miles, you can fly RT on UAthe for 5K miles. :)

Also with hidden city you can find cheap paid cash fares.

Would possibly be going for this Shabbos in and out if i can find something reasonable. So can't wait around 2-3 days for Jet Airways to respond. And no luck with hidden city there are great cheap $86 tickets about 3 weeks out from now, but nothing this week.

$86 one way, still a good price to YUL. Would go Friday morning the 24th, returning on Sunday afternoon the 26th, but might no go altogether.
