From what I've heard it was a zabla so of course 2 are "close" to one side.
The whole thing is irrelevant. If both sides agreed to go to the beis din which i assume they did or there would be nothing to talk about

I don't think I'm arguing with you. All I'm saying is that the fact that 2 are allegedly close doesn't prove that there was corruption nor does it negate the psak, because that is the nature of a zabla, that each side picks two.

They originally went to court but the judge sent them to Beis din
Since he told them that the alter Rebbe helped him and when he(judge) asked him (Rebbe) what to do he said when to Jews come to u with a case tell them to go to a Jewish court first

If it was outright in S"A then it wouldn't have taken 9 years for the psak.

the way I heard it at the time was that they went to court just to sign an arbitration agreement but I don't know...

Seems like they're taking it to an Israeli court.
I guess if the judges are Jewish, maybe they think it's a beis din?

עכטער ציונים.
I definitely understand that they are trying to salvage and recover any possible assets. However considering the case has been ruled by בית דין, there is nothing to be done. Any strings they try to pull will be viewed as an effort to undermine ב"ד authority. Doing so will further damage 45's image and legitimacy. It is nothing short of repulsive and classless. באבוב used to be a a very prestigious and high class. Over the years the image as been tarnished. Observing the moves 45 is trying to pull, it's seems clear where the stench originated from.
Having said that,  I am not a חסיד of באבוב and I understand that emotions are running extremely high in both sides. I do not do not envy anyone that is closely related to the decision making process from either side. My advice to those making the calls,  as the "Most Interesting Man in the World" would put it, "Stay classy my friends.".

That would be interesting to know. I wish I had thought of that question. Somehow I just assumed not.

what should the difference be. All of their entire הנהגה of life is from the same school of thought. There is a lot of pride that comes with באבוב. Any deviation of  the original השקפה would be be precived as unacceptable.
