On the street everyone will call MD 45 and Bentzion 48.
Maybe in the beginning, but eventually it will be Bobov-45 and Bobov.

Its not Fight, Imagine your father builds up a beautiful successful brand that's in business for over 100 yrs, and someone decides that he wants to open same brand with the same name as your father would you just sit back and relax or you would do whatever it takes to get it away?
If that someone bought the business then its his..... Im not saying who is right but 45 claims that the rabistive was suppose to go to MD. There is no question that if R Naftule would be rebbe for 20 years who would take over!
You can say what you think when you think what you say.

No if R Naftule would have a son then maybe, but at R' Shlomie Levah it was said clearly what was supposed to happen doesn't matter after 5 yrs or 20yrs.

this is exactly the problem today, when we compare chassidus to a business & a brand :'(

I knew that would come! but I wasn't comparing just explaining in a way that you would understand.

reading over the last few comments has me wondering as to the state of chassidus today, that people could fight like babies over a name (number)...,

Is this really what the Baal Shem Tov meant when he founded chassidus?

Am I the only disillusioned chussid here?

Isn't there also a fair amount of assets at stake?

Per the psak r' MD gets no buildings. R' shloime's yerusha has still yet to be divided & the cemetery is also still up for discussion.

That's your interpretation.  Calling R BZ the rav hatzoir was a sign of respect to him as the other son. That was not an announcement that he's next.

YWN: Rebbe of Bobov-45: We Will Assume The Distinction Of ‘Bobov-45′

www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/272501/photos-rebbe-of-bobov-45-we-will-assume-the-distinction-of-bobov-45.html
Wow. That's a self proclamation of "I'm a fraud". At least Sanz-Bobov would be dignified. Bobov-45 screams that it's origin stems from a losing side of a conflict.
