What's your monthly food budget?

So I'm curious what ppl's food budget is, and how it varies by family size, style of eating, etc.

It would be helpful for ppl creating financial budgets and trying to see if their eating habits are within reason, or if they're large spenders.

So if you're willing, list how many ppl you feed in your household (for example, nursing infants wouldn't count), and the estimated amount. Obviously, chagim time would be higher, but it's a good baseline. Include all food-related expenses including restaurants.

I'd have thought so also until I heard that my single brother spends 1.2k per month on food. That was part of my reason for starting the poll.

That's a lot, though when you think about it it makes sense as he probably eats out much more often than people with children.

Yup, and I'm sure he enjoys some of the club life, and booze is officially a beverage.
