Tried Hibachi Express last night. Got the Chicken Yakisobi ($7), which is a better version of lo mein.
The store was empty, but it seemed they got a few phone orders while I was there. I dount this place will last as it seems like a poor man's version of a chinese restaurant.
Anyone else try it yet?

+1. The owner of kohan cleaners a few stores down told my wife that rent is $10,500 per month. That's a lot of sushi...

Went into De E sushi for the first time, - wife wanted an egg roll and surprisingly they're the only place open after10:30 that makes egg rolls. I got the veggie spring roll which was excellent as was the dip it came with. The place though, was empty.

Even if it wasn't always empty (which it is), it would probably be empty after 1030

True,
, I gotta say that The spring roll was that good that I will go back.
Which makes me wonder: I'm don't know much about the restaurant business but if I were opening a new restaurant my first priority would be getting people into the store to try my product, (especially when I'm selling serving  that you could get in 10 other places within a 5 block radius) I would have an insane grand opening sale with te hopes that my product sells itself and the people like it and will return.

I was talking to someone familiar with the business and the statistics he quoted were insane. Most restaurants, not just kosher, don't make it. Most banks will not lend to someone to open one up. There are special financiers who charge exorbitant interest rates or family loans.

Valuable review - we like spring rolls and places open late. Thank you!

I heard  that too, and that just makes my question stronger. You must really believe in your product if you think you'll be successful, so your first priority should be getting your product into people's hands (or mouths in this case :) ). So forget profits in the beginning, (which most restaurants probably aren't profitable for years) and get costumers in the door.
You can also you this to gather important contact information like email address which will save you advertising money in the future. You now have a direct means of targeting interested costumers.
