any reason not to sign up for amex business checking and take the 30k MR bonus?
have there been higher bonuses? can it trigger any red flags if account stays dormant after qualifying transactions (10 payments)
(i have plat card, so redemption at 1 cent per point)

For anyone who has very recently used return protection, did they ask you to ship the item back? If yes, did you have to pay for the shipping? Ty.

in order to the 35% off for a business flight, do you have to activate anything on AMEX? If not, you book through travel, if the flight costs 200,000, I will select points, pay with 200,000 and within a few weeks see a refund of 70,000 points, correct?

Can anyone please explain how to use the $200 amex hotel credit, is it for either FHR or the hotel collection if only interested in booking one night? I just remember it only working for one of these..

FHR - 1 night min.
HC - 2 night min.

I was under the impression that you get the $200 Amex hotel credit if you book a FHR or HC for any number of nights.

You only get the benefits like property credit if you stay 1 night (FHR) or 2 nights (HC).

For a business ticket yes, for economy you have to select a airline first

CMIIW seems can only get the $200 credit with FHR if booking for only 1 night..

what does it mean "other credits" in amex's t&c when it writes that Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits?

am worried about them clawing back my 150k MR SUB, as i am short 68 cents from my $15k spend if amex deducts their own credits i.e. airline fee, spend offers from the total spent.

Just realized that the $200 FHR credit expires 12/31, and is not based on cardmember year.
Are any credits based on cardmember year? Or are all calendar based?

My personal platinum is going to renew soon and I don’t plan on keeping the Platinum. I will downgrade the Amex to avoid any issues of loosing points & to keep a credit line open. If my charges get charged in Dec & I wait to cancel in mid Jan can I benefit from the $200 airline credit and Clear credits? Or can Amex claw it back?
