This isn’t news, but haven’t seen it posted on ddf yet. Schwab Amex is limited to 1.1 on the first million points per calendar year. After that it goes down to .8%

Really horrible devaluation, time to start jumping ship.

Limited value - if you want to pack away your ID and use biometrics instead, if the regular line is long (at some airports), or at supported venues, the lines can be significantly shorter

On the topic of this... Clear with Amex Plat., seems like if your part of a family plan and only spend $119, which Amex will reimburse.
Then you can use the remaining amount for other Clear Perks.
Any data points on this?

Way to get around Amex Travel charging more for United tickets than United direct, is to book on Amex Travel and change the on United to the one you want and at least get a credit for the difference?

(Amex is $1,279 and United is $1,219).

Does UA give a credit for the price difference when booking with Amex Travel?

It seems that it is restricted from giving credit based on recent reports then. So will try to find a lower priced flight by a few dollars and change it to the one I want.

ETA: did not work. United's site wanted another $800 for this flights compared to United direct and double the $400 difference between United and Amex in the first place.

ETA2: it looks like prices jumped while I was playing this game.  :'(

If my Dell & $200 Airline credits havent posted yet to my account is it risky to downgrade the card? Will I lose the credits?
My 30 days since AF posting is on the 14th. TIA!

Do the opposite. Use Amex for something slightly lower and then just pay United the difference.
