sucks for the ppl who missed it, do you think they will match it for some1 who signs up now?

I think many who signed up will not get the bonus . Amex stopped being philanthropic months ago .

Amex refused to match me after being a 40 + year customer. Forced me to learn how to take what I was entitled to , not ask for it .

Or for someone whos status was pending at time it was alive?

Doesn't need a match if application was coded with the 100K offer  Immediate approval or not . That is the offer you will get if approved

+1
It goes by the application,  not what the current offer is at the time of approval.

Let it be remembered for all eternity on DDF that MEIR613 did not want this great deal to be shared with the hundreds of DDFers. I for one intend to never help him out on these forums. And I believe neither should anyone else!

BOYCOTT MEIR613!!
You are a first class ass.
1) Did you bother reading the Forum rules?
"-No referral offers or discussion of referral offers and/or toolbars or shopping portals are allowed on the forums

-Links to competing sites are not allowed."
His post would've violated both of the above rules.

2) I was aware of this offer for the past 2 weeks, and it was alive all the time. Now see what happened just 12 hours after it was posted here: dead.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Yes.  Its called a pre approval F/R.

You cant try HUCA'ing to get them to allow you to show them bank statements instead of a 4506t if you have no annual income on it.  But its YYMV.

I'd like to apply for the Amex Plat card for the 100k bonus, but would like to avoid the $450 AF.
If, say, I'd meet the spending requirement after a month and the points post within the following month, I'd have the card for a total of 2 months and then cancel it (or downgrade).
Would I avoid (part of the) AF?
I also have a gold card so I'm not worried about losing the points...

The offer is dead.
Meanwhile you have a gold card so you wouldn't have received the points anyways according to the new T and C's.

Can the platinum card be downgraded to a Gold card to avoid the large annual fee and still have your points with an account that can still transfer them ?

I spent the $1000 on the card and paid the bill.
Its the second month and I want to cancel to save the  $450. I have a gold card and a blue amex so can ask them to transfer the credit . Will that be enough not to show up on my credit report as a closed account? Will the points transfer to these cards too?

Thank you
What offer did you have with a 1k spend??
it CAN be done!
