2 questions:

I cant seem to get a straight answer...
1) how long after I cancel my plat card can I reapply?
2) how realistic is it that I will get another 50k if they say its only a 1 time bonus?

"Usually AMEX makes you wait 30 days after canceling a card to get that same card again, but there’s no hard and fast rule."

I spoke to AMEX and they told me I could reapply through the same promo link but also said they would not give me anymore bonus points....I have not seen an answer to the latter

Every card says that it can only be earned once. They obviously don't want you to do what we do!

You call them and tell them I want to cancel and if it within 60 days they normally refund it whole..somtimes prorate...if you cant with one agent try another one until you get one that will do it....Charm them:)

out of the blue I decided to write a hand written note, last week, to AMEX via mail to ft. lauderdale membership rewards that I was unhappy with a service they provided. They called me back today and gave me 25k more points which showed instantly.

@DAN--I told them overall unhappiness and threatened to cancel my card, she said "what can we we do to keep you"
I said " 50K more points" , she said "how about we meet in the middle at 25k"

Yes and I transferred to CO so they are safe and then canceled.
