I have an amex business platinum with a 100k bonus after meeting the spending threshold.  To make the spending threshold,  i added an authorized user.  Because it is free, my authorizes user is receiving a amex business green card.  I did ask an amex agent to verify that authorized user charges on this green card count towards my spending threshold and they assured me it does.  ( i had assumed that the authozied user needed a platinum card as well for it to count towards my platinum threshold)

Does anybody have any reason to think the amex agent was wrong about this?

Quick question here:

If I just recently signed up for an amex business gold, how long do i have to wait before opening a platinum business card and should I close the ABG before I get the PB card?

Thanks in advance!

Just a heads up. If you don't have any open amex cc and close the ABG before signing up for a new card you'll lose any MR  points

Thanks guys. I appreciate the info. I am not going to close the ABG before opening the platinum so it shouldn't be a problem.

I hit the spend for Plat 40k in June,  40k posted in July, closed shortly after. I was pleasantly surprised to see this today:

03/16/2015 Earned   PLATINUM $5K Spend/60K MR Pts   20,000

I was not expecting this.  But what in the world took so long?

I have a question about the business platinum TSA pre check credit.  Does anyone know I can use my platinum card in my name to pay for somebody else's enrollment?   Will i still get the credit?

Does upgrading to Platinum preclude one from getting the Platinum bonus?
