Did you try clearing history etc. Unless it just went dead. This link was being discussed and used successfully on DDF for the last few weeks. Search and you will see.

Any chance they will give me problems with the 50k since I got the bonus once before?
with all the new rules they made about the points I'm crossing my fingers that these points actually post.

Nope. But you can apply for the 50k Mecedes plat if you have the regular plat or vice versa, just not two of the same card.

why is it my had that folks around here applyed for the same card even they got the same card already before i just not remebering about the points if they got it at the end

YMMV (it'll be harrd) getting approved for the same Amex card if you have one already, but once you get the card you should get the points,

i would have 60 days to cancel and get the fee back?

If you're creditworthy it should succeed. If you need to call recon, do so separately for each app.

You will be able to get your annual fees back if you cancel within 60 days (as long as you have another Amex card open). You might want to consider Amex SPG as your third card.

IIRC the 60 days money back works without another card open . Its after 60 days that in order to get it prorated you might need another card.

This whole refund thing is (as everything) YMMV. I know people who got the entire $450 back 90 days after activation-75 days after the fee posted. They just insisted that they should get it back and the CSR did just that.

did a 2bm with both the mercedes plat and reg plat (50k each) and i got approved for both on the spot
