For some reason I was never charged for the amex plat additional user.... I was wondering if there's any explanation.... Anyone have this experience? Also, if I would change the name on the au card would that trigger the charge? Thanks!
how long ago did you add a Au?

I was offered 50k yesterday to upgrade Biz Gold to Plat.
The spend is 10k in 5 months.
There were three things the agent mentioned that I've never heard:
1) AU can be added free though they'll get the green card.
2) AU gets the GE credit even on the green card.
3) Using points for booking airfare directly through Amex gives 30% points-back valuing points at 1.333333....c

1) Correct
2) Incorrect AFAIK, but I've never tried, and don't know anyone who has
3) Yup, but I think it's only with the airline you selected for the airline credit
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Why would you loose your points ? Green earns points as well.

As long as you have an MR-earning card, you can close and not lose the Plat points, correct?  There's no need to downgrade from Personal Plat to Green?  (What's the benefit in downgrading to Green?)

And AF is pro-rated even if card has been open 6 months, right?   Thanks

No.

A $1000 ticket will cost you 70,000 (after the 30% points rebate) .

$1000 divided by 70,000 = ??
