I just got approved for this card and I enrolled in SPG Gold through Amex's website. When I cancel my Amex Plat., will I lose my SPG Gold status? Or will I have it for the year?

Also, same question but for priority pass. Thanks!

Thanks! Does every lounge now swipe the card? Feel like I remember seeing recently that someone got in with a PP card that they got through a Plat. card that had since been cancelled.

PP must be active, Plat must be active for Centurion but not for Delta.

I just downgraded my platinum and a couple days later received an email confirming my request (?!) to get out of the spg gold.

That's weird because I've cancelled the amex platinum I used and I'm still Gold

I feel like I read somewhere that they sometimes send that email but they never actually take it away from you.

There may be some truth to that because that email is from Amex and they said I would get an email from spg which hasn't happened.

By requesting the downgrade, you requested cancellation of all plat benefits.

Does the AF count toward the spend?
Also, what about a AU's AF?

No. On your  statement, you'll even see a separate line for fees. It's not part of your charges.
