Looking for advice what to do when AF is due (on business platinum). I don't need the card for any benefits, and I already used the airline credit for 2016. Any reason to keep the card? Cancel? Downgrade? I don't see any good downgrade option, as I already have the Green card, so I don't think I would qualify for the bonus. Maybe downgrade anyway, just to keep the cards for offers... Any thoughts? Thanks.

Before you close it, downgrade to the green card. You'll get 5k mr. Then close it.

Thanks. But T&C says: Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.

Why do you say it would work for me?

Very interesting. AFAIK Amex doesn't give signup bonuses when you don't qualify. Would they do do for big bonuses as well (i.e. 75k for Mercedes)?

I would like to add an AU to my non business account. Is there any way other than paying the $150?

Add a green card.
And would the spending on that card help with the spend threshold if the platinum?

Sure.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Sure.
One more question. Will it make a difference if I want to downgrade the whole account to green afterwards?

You can't downgrade a Platinum to a Mercedes.

Of course. I meant in general: Do they give other bonuses when you don't really qualify, i.e. if you already had that card. :)

Sorry. How do I add a green card? Do I say that I would like to add an AU on my platinum with a green card?

Yes, or simply do it online. When you add a card, it gives you options for platinum, gold, or green.
