What was it referencing then?

I just finished  the required spending on a platinum card (the charges posted yesterday) and the bonus points are already pending. but I wonder if that's the regular process since its already an old MR account and the bonus points used to post within a few days but I cant recall if it was first pending.
also on a new MR account does the bonus points become pending right a way or when the statement closes?
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

There are points in the account, but the bonus is pending?

no. the account is now empty. is that the reason?

MR will always post one statement after they go to pending.

Why don't u check in the benefits tab online and see how much remaining yearly travel credit you're entitled to

On an account that has no points in it previously it will post next statement. On an account that has previous points in it , it will post the next day
MR will always post one statement after they go to pending.

You can only get the benefit once a year per a card number . If you got the benefit in 2016 when it was a plat card then you will NOT get it again . You will get it in 2017 though .

Not a proof  necessarily

If you're just buying gift cards for regular use, buy them online from a GC reseller.

Meant the 100k personal link, but whatever, they have used downgrading within first few months as an excuse to confiscate points in the past.

If i buy bought a bunch of delta GC's to get the airline reimbursement (which i did get reimbursed for already) but now i want to turn those GC's to liquid cash. Can I return them to Delta and still have -200 balance in my account on amex or i need to sell them ?
