They never match, you might get some goodwill points if you press a rep hard enough as mentioned above.
I understand was replying to chayal which said I should be happy with what I got

I think that meant be happy with whatever they're willing to give you.

On MR summary of points, I have points earned from Amex 5X TLS? Is that from 5x for booking on Amex Travel?
Bump. Asking because A. it's not 4x (or 5x or anything else) the amount I spent on the tickets. B. I paid with Biz plat with Pay with points. Officialy, and according to reports, not supposed to work. C. I had to cancel those tickets, and these points posted a couple of days after cancelling.

I'm assuming they will claw back, but I not sure what those points are for in the first place, due to A.

Yes, there's a Biz Gold to Biz Plat upgrade link that I found via DOC, I wasn't eligible for the 75K offer upgrade but the 50k upgrade worked on both mine and my husbands BGR card:

Would this work if I already have one bp card on my account?

I actually meant, if you're eligible for the 50K upgrade (as opposed to 75K) Why call Amex when there's a slight chance it may lead to a review of your MR account... and in return they may find something that they don't like... I try to avoid calling Amex unless I need to... Maybe I'm just being over-protective, but that's my take... But you're welcome to TARB...

not sure whats the best way to keep the 50% rebate for the longest-  should I have DW apply for card on 5/30 and transfer my BP points to her account and cancel mine or downgrade my BP to BGR and then update back to BP? which way would I avoid paying the highest annual fee? any advise?

You can't transfer points to someone else.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

You're thinking of Chase.

I know about chase- but I chatted online with a rep and told me if I was a AU and in same household, I should be able transfer the points. but I didn't take a screen shot of the convo cuz I thought that was a given

They're likely referring to transfers to an airline account, not another MR account

Ahh ok so this changes things. there is no real purpose to open BP under DW if I cant transfer the points.
so my best move is downgrading my BP and upgrading again? how does the af work in that case?
