i understand if downgradeing within first year would result a claw back of the points. what if i cancel or downgrade within year of retention binus?

If I have Jetblue set as my $200 airline credit and I book a Jetblue flight with points through Amex travel to take advantage of the 35% bonus, and subsequently (before the points rebate posts) change it to United in order to get a 35% rebate on a United flight, will my Jetblue 35% rebate points still post?

I’m having a all paid trip to Israel. Is there any way for me still to take have the platinum travel insurance by upgrading my seat etc.?

Real travel insurance is better (covers more things) and is cheaper than a seat upgrade.

Agreed, also you won't have coverage by buying an upgrade, I don't think.

If your relative booked you, you might be covered on their card.

I usually pay around $40 for 2 people. It depends on where you're flying, the length of the trip, and mostly, the trip costs you incurred. Do not buy the insurance they try to sell you when booking a ticket. Compare policies at squaremouth.com.

Yes keeping 2 of the same product was one of the reasons of the shutdowns last week

I've never personally tried but I've heard that Amex cancels PP membership when platinum is no longer active. Even if true, what about Delta ir centurion lounge access?
