This may not be the right thread to ask this question but is there a limit to number of Amex cards we can have? I have 4 Amex(oldest being 14 years) and when I applied for another I was told that I have reached the max number of cards that I can have. Does it include serve/Amex for target cards? If this is the case then I cannot do 3bm unless I cancel all cards.

probably depends which types. Starwood, vs. MR earning. Plus if there are personal Amex vs. business Amex, etc....

Yup. All those are credit cards. You'd have to cancel one to get the SPG. Business.

I think it's 4 per account

Hey, just got my signup bonus points (100K) for plat even though total spending is calculated at $2400 !  :o
Used PGGM (yeah I know....wtvr) and it posted as a charge, and then refund for flight posted a day later. Flight was for about $900.
Could that be the reason? They see it as spending even though I got a refund?
Will they take back points and make me spend a true $3K?
TIA

Been discussed a few times that refunds count as payments as far as spend thresholds

Just canceled my MB platinum 32 days after AF hit, they claim my AF refund will be be prorated, (fine with me its $435 instead of $475,  +$400 in PGGM...) but why was I thinking that canceling within 60 days triggers a full refund? DROPR? Or was I skiing heavily in dreamland?

I've searched a bit but haven't found the answer to this Q: I know that with my business platinum card, I was able to downgrade to green and get a 5k bonus for making a purchase on it.  Is the same true with the consumer card?  Thanks!  Sorry if this has already been asked and answered and I missed it.

That is was manually given by a  incompetent rep.  Call them back again. Unless they changed the rule recently

Not sure about JFK, but was in an out in EWR less than 15 minutes on Sunday.
