Does that really work to circumvent Amex's lifetime bonus restriction?

When I apply online it automatically gets locked into the account whose name is on the RSVP. any way to change that?

You want to change the name on a personal RSVP?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Does anyone know if making a purchase and then canceling it still works in regard to getting bonus points?

Thanks!

If it posts as a charge and then a refund, yes. If it's just pending and gets cancelled then no.

However, someone reported amex started clawing back bonus points obtained this way.

Refundables alone isn't the reason for the claw backs.

I made a charge and waited for it to show up actual charges and then canceled it but I didn't receive the bonus points.  How long does it usually take for the points to post?

I have a 100k code I plan on using tomorrow for 3 people. one of them recently did a large BT, and resultingly been hit hard on their credit score. As of Nov 4th Amex has a FICO of 741. As of Oct 22, Barclay has them at 720, and as of Nov 24 Citi has them at 742. Are they most likely to be denied for the platinum?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

You were targeted for platinum with zero credit history?

Someone I know, told me that he opened 2 platinums each on a couple business, all under his name, and got the bonus, does that make sense?
