What about if I have an appointment for one person, would they do additional family members present at the same time?
Officially they state that each person needs their own individual appointment, however there are always cases where pple get away with one appointment for family

I have an amex platinum and signed up for American Airlines to be my $200 airline credit, thinking that I'll buy 2, $100 gift cards as per some blogs I saw, however, when I was finalizing my payment, the website showed that they are no longer selling gift cards to New Jersey residents. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do now as far as changing the airline or any other way to receive the credit - they don't officially allow you to change the airline once you decide on one?

They will usually allow you to change once.

I have plat Mercedes card-is it possible to downgrade to a no annual fee card before 2 months are up so I cud keep the account open(hoping for another SBS July  ;D -or even one in December  :o ) or do I need to close the account to get my annual fee back?
If you downgrade, the AF is prorated. If you want it credited completely, you need to cancel.

interesting. So I get the best rate if I downgrade now(within 1st month of card). What's the rate per month? If I put 10 AU's on the (downgraded) card and hope for SBS,u think it's worth it?
nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

I don't know the exact math, but it sounds like a reasonable plan (depending on your general Amex situation, how many cards, etc.).

Nope. But believe me, the moment there's a rumor out there, you'll see it here, and the moment it's confirmed, it'll be on DDMS!

Don't count on it. Amex is not in a benevolent mood at the moment.

Is there a no annual fee card that they would downgrade you to?

I was told that I can't downgrade my Platinum Card, because it wasn't open for a year. Is that true?
