What I noticed is, that having both the Plat consumer and Business card got me as follows:

I booked a  business class ticket using points. Amex first codes it as a purchase charge then credited my account as I used points.
So I received the 50% bonus rebate for having the Plat Business then I also received the 5x points on the initial charge that Amex charged me (besides of course the miles for a revenue ticket!).
Wow, is this what happens to everyone?  (never saw anything about that)

you got the 50% bonus even when the ticket was charged to the personnel card?

How long should it take to get the points back for flights?
Its been more than 24 hours for me,  and  still waiting almost a week...  did it take this long for anyone?

If you have the personal and business does it automatically give you the 50% rebate or do you have to book a certain way?

No, it appears as the full price and once booked it will appear as a credit back.

you have to book through the AMEX travel portal
You also need to choose the BP as the card associated with the ticket at checkout. The airline for the credit also needs to have been chosen even to be credited for Business Class travel (per MR phone rep, but DROPR). They say that is why I wasn't credited here.

How long should it take to get the points back for flights?
You sure you have the right airline selected? I would call MR at this point.
it was for business class. I will call them.
I called and was credited. An earlier rep said it was because it was charged to my everyday (it wasn't) or because the everyday was the primary card on my MR account which confused the MR rep who at first said there was nothing to do about it. DROPR

Phone rep claims that if it is not associated with BP at checkout there is nothing they can do to credit it after. SHe even "went to check"

New BP benefits coming soon http://www.doctorofcredit.com/new-benefits-coming-business-platinum-march-30-5x-airfare/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
I wish they would drop the selecting an airline for 50% back and that they would let the $200 incidentals credit be used for any travel. That would make this card way more competitive with the CSR.

What? Drop the 50% or just the selecting an airline? I value the 50% return, more than a CP

Lol. Sorry for not being clear. Selecting an airline. So that you can use it with any airline. Also remove the non US airline restriction.
