I need to book a flight for tomorrow on AA, while my selected airline is DL. I have a flight booked on DL that I have not flown yet. Is there any risk in changing my airline (and if successful) and booking the AA flight? Will I have to worry about not receiving the 50% return?

+1 and by me (about 2 months ago) they also clawed back the $200 travel credit that was made by pggm
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

If you already got the 50% back from the DL flight you should be fine.

You downgraded the card to a green and then got clawbacks for the sign up bonus??? Was your spend legitimate?
This was a large signup bonus which I wouldn't wanna risk losing, but still paying $450 is a lot. I pushed off applying and then missed the 2016 credit... >:(
The spend was all legitimate spend by me.

If you own it in 2 calendar years, you can get the airline $200 reimbursement twice.

I have a amex gold premier rewards card and wanted to  upgrade to the new amex platinum and get a bonus. I called amex and told the rep that I wanted an offer to upgrade my gold card he said that he manually put it in the system and I should receive a offer by April 10th to upgrade and get a sign up bonus. Is this something they do or I shouldn't hold my breath
