The 50% rebate is only for points redemptions, not charges.

Are you referring to mile redemption of charges that were made by your personal card?

Not required, card must be issued by 05-31 for 50%.

Any data points on someone downgrading a BP, and re-upgrading it before 6/1 to get the 50% benefit extended for a year? By data points, I'm looking for someone who did this and had a rep tell them they see in their account that the benefit will expire 5/XX/2018.

I had the platinum biz card between Dec 2013 - Jan 2014, but I didn't get an official "welcome offer". I upgraded from BGR when they were offering 25k MR (I think). Am I still ineligible for the signup bonus?

On the phone with Amex business now. They're saying all they see on my file is Amex green business (which I downgraded the plat to in January 2014). Specifically saying that I'm eligible for bonus for biz plat.

Got approved for biz plat on 5/30 and activated cards last night. At what point would I find out that I am/aren't eligible for a welcome offer despite/due to once per lifetime limit? When activating the card via phone, the rep confirmed the welcome offer on the account. Is that conclusive? Thinking I might have a chance at the sign-up bonus based on this DP http://www.doctorofcredit.com/everything-want-know-american-express-upgrade-offers/#If_I_Receive_A_Bonus_From_An_Upgrade_Offer_But_Haven8217t_Had_That_Card_Before_8211_Can_I_Get_The_Sign_Up_Bonus_Again but would like to confirm before putting $20k on the card.
