An extremely effective method, is retaining the card until just prior to its anniversary date, and then closing it.

So return the points, and they will happily return your annual fee.

Funny how things have changed. In 2015 when I first found DD, there was a lot of helpful info. Now not so much, or I miss it as I rarely come here any more. I understand the reasons for the change but sometimes I think it’s just better to ignore a post versus being snarky.

To the poster with the Amex question, pick a year, start there, and read through thousands of posts. That’s what I did. You’ll still have to separate the chaff from the wheat, but will learn a lot and may be able to extrapolate some of the info.

If you still have mr, Either u will need to apply for another card that has no annual fee, or downgrade to the green card and pay 95$.
If you don't mind losing your points or don't have any in ur Mr account or have another card, either downgrade and cancel or cancel.
Reason for the smart replies before was u didn't give enough info of what's your issue or what u need clarification with. If you would do that, you would (sometimes) get better answers...

When an individual has no interest in contributing to a forum, people have no incentive to help them. He is asking a question that has been answered multiple times, and is not a smart question. If an individual has 23 posts that all consist of them using the forum to buy/sell/ask questions, but nothing contributing, it says something. Pair that with the fact that, if any effort was put into reading, this question wouldn't need to be asked.

+100
To the OP: the sense of entitlement on this forum has increased drastically since 2015, as well. While some of the snarky comments are uncalled for, the level of entitlement is also.

Hi Everyone,

I've been thinking about the Plat card and adding 3 AUs, with a total Annual Fee of  $725. What are some ways you guys use to minimize or subsidized the annual fee? I.E. Buying Groups for Points to Cash / Sell Global Entry/ Etc.

Thanks!

Why add plat au's?

Uber and Travel credits are $400/year, than there are other benefits.
