u can get back later than 30 days but not the full amount .

just to clarify amex 550 annual fees and the aspire 450 are prorated and you can get some of the annual fee back if you downgrade after a few months? and can you  get a retention offer before downgrading? and if you get 100,000 on your consumer plat offer during initial signup do dp show that it minimizes the chances of getting that 50,000 retention offer that they sometimes offer? I feel that they would offer 50,000 retention to someone that only got 60k.

Yes But the RATs might come back to bite you, and claw back the points (not HH though)
BTW why would you ever want to close the money making aspire card?!

Question. I was billed my AF for Amex buiss plat on 4/1. Haven’t used the dell $100 off yet. Need to cancel ASAP to get fee back. If I make the dell purchase today and cancel card tomorrow, will the $100 post in a few days or no? If I hang on to the cars for another week until it posts is it prorated refund for 10 months 3 weeks or 11 months 3 weeks (because of the 1st month)? Thx.

It looks like using the credit to buy a resort stay for someone might be the only way?

Amex closed my account after a FR, which airline would be the best to transfer my points to (that's the only way I would be able to sell it)?

1) Any benefits to keeping the amex plat corporate card with $595 AF?
I get priority pass from the Sapphire reserve.
Cant see much use out of it.

2) MY 30 day to cancel is May 3rd, and like an idiot I didn't use the dell or airline credit.  If I make the dell/airline purchase today and cancel card on the 3rd (2 days) Im assuming I most likely won't get the credit?

3) Anyway to downgrade later and get a pro-rated?

No unfortunately card has to be active when credit posts. I too didn’t use the dell. But I was able to get them to give me a $100 credit to stay on. I called about 2 weeks before my 30 days was up (today). I canceled yesterday. You may want to call today and see if they will give you some sort of credit. Tell them you didn’t get to fully experience benefits and are considering keeping car but unsure whether you can justify the $550 fee. Also state that the fee went up from the previous $450 within the time period that you have had the card.

Not to reiterate, but the AF will prorate if downgraded to the green card?
