I had a platinum around 5 years ago, would a popup come to the agent saying I am not eligible...?
TARB? No hard pull if you get the popup (at least online it's that way).

Yes I did. My renewal was in March and the statement credit benefit started in April I called and was told that they'll do an exception for me and credit me. (I heard others got the same "exception")

I just called and the agent was not helpful so I asked for a supervisor and the supervisor was able to manually apply $200 on my BP and and $50 for my Marriott business card (AF hit in April on Marriott)

UPDATE: He was able to see right away that I had it and wouldn't even start the application.

Yes

Amex terms and conditions state that no. Here is a direct quote “other Loyalty Programs (i.e. Non-American Express) DO NOT qualify on purchases redeemed in part or full towards the fare or pre-arranged travel cost. An example would be Common Carrier Frequent Flyer Miles point redemption”. Am I missing something?

I see it depends on which insurance. Trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance- yes. Trip delay insurance- yes. Baggage insurance- no

Do sub-$99 fares trigger the Amex CC travel credit on United?
