Do sub-$99 fares trigger the Amex CC travel credit on United?
I've found the FT threads for each airline's DP's to be useful for this. United thread is here.

I am not understanding.  If the latter two are publicly available, how is that a perk?

Is there any status matching that can be done with this perk beyond car reward programs?

Amex offers it as a perk but as you said it's not really

Amex will only cover your card not the car in front of you. Hertz should legally need to provide minimum coverage for the card in front of you.

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong thread -

Does anyone else have trouble logging into the amextravel.com website or booking things online with amex points?  For several months I haven't been able to login - once I search for a flight - it bounces me out (I can login when i first reach the site) and says that I can book as a guest or call.

Also - recently I've seen the amex travel site prices be significantly higher than the airlines.  example - looking at flying chicago to PHL - on aa site = $45 o/w.  On amextravel $90!!!!!!  what is going on!!!???

any thoughts?  Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

Amex Travel shows regular economy, not basic economy.

Ahhhh!  That makes sense!  Thank you very much.  I assume that I can book basic over the phone?

So I just tried to book a basic economy flight on the phone with amex travel - and although I was able to get a fare that didn't show up on the aa web site any more ( saved ~$90)  but for the life of me I couldn't get them to book basic economy!!  That should have saved me another 30$...  is there a magic word to say or something??  HUCA?  (I'm still happy that I got the cheaper fare...but need to know for next time)

If anyone knows how to do this - I'd be very appreciative..

Thanks in advance!

Try calling the Platinum Travel number, not regular Amex Travel.

I ordered a dell product and got my credit on my Amex Bus Plat, and i refused delivery when it came way late. the refund didn't process for another couple of months of complaining but it finally did last month. the credit was never reversed, does that happen normally (and i should order other dell products before year end to catch the value, since it takes months for dell to actually deliver 3rd party products they say u will get next week)?

I just got hit with my BP AF $595.
I see I got a APPRECIATION CREDIT for $200, did anyone get more than that?
Is the $200 airline credit, and dell credit, per calendar year or card member year?
