If there is no lifetime language that means I will get bonus even if received in the past?
Yes. (Answering my own question, it’s late at night lol)

Got this too, even though I have one already. I also get prompted to add a BP (same offer) everytime I log in. Can I apply and get the SUB even though I have one already?
I did, and I still keep getting the popup and mailings! Thinking of going for it again.

And you had 2 Biz Plats in your name open at the same time and you got the SUB?

I recently opened this card with the 10x on up to 15k spend at gas and groceries within 6 months. Is there an easy way to see my progress/how much of that 15k I've spent so far on this category?
Ok, I'm IN AWE...

I was wondering how in the world am I going to figure out how much of my $15,000 did I already spend.

I started out trying to search through AmEx's "analytics" to see if anything would be helpful ( I even tried adding up my most frequent merchants ... (Yeah, I was kind of desperate not to have to add it all up transaction by transaction))

But then I thought, "Hey, why don't I chat, and ask how much I used. I know they are not going to have the answer. but it doesn't cost me anything ..."

... so that's what I did. And I was already telling myself "I told you so" when I got back a Caned response with the details of the promo. but the three dots pop back up and lo and behold there is the exact number of how much I spent (down to the cents mind you!)

now I probably shouldn't be so impressed, but I guess that's what's great about low expectations.

GE $100 ($15) once in 4 years
Clear $179 ($20-25) Every Jan you can use again
Saks $50 ($20) every 6 months

Made a purchase @ off 5th and paid with my platinum via PayPal.
It was coded as "PAYPAL *SAKSFIFTHAV" and a day later I got a $50 Saks credit
Found it interesting for 2 dp:
1. PayPal can or used to get the credit
2. May be a workaround to get the credit at Off5th

I first closed one before I applied for the second. If I do it again I’ll probably leave the first one open because I don’t want to close an account within a year.

For the purposes of not incurring Amex's wrath, is it significantly better to close a card at the ~13 month mark instead of the ~11 month mark?

(I use 13 months in this example since amex will refund the AF within roughly ~30 days IIRC)

Wait until the annual fee has posted, which is usually at the 13 month mark; otherwise you'll risk clawback

Sometimes, sometimes not. Sometimes they'll claw back later. I'm not sure if they are randomly auditing accounts, or if there is some sort profitability / churning metric.

Reports starting to come in of Amex total shutdowns supposedly for multiple no lifetime language mailers even legitimately targeted ones.

Trying to make a fine hotels and resorts reservation. Can I make it in my name (which is the requirement to get the $200 platinum credit) or is it hotel specific?  This one is a hilton.

For those that recently applied and got approved, did they have the special limited time referral bonus attached to the card?

Am referring to the one that says: “can earn +4 Membership Rewards dollar spent on eligible purchases for 3 months, on up to $25k when you refer a friend to apply by 12/1“

My logic was to double dip (& maybe even triple with employee card bonus) --- spend $16k to get 120,000MR SUB plus another 80k for above referral bonus, for a total of 200,000 MR points with only a $16k spend.

Makes sense?

the referral bonus is for spend on the card you are referring from not the new card
