You're absolutely right, my apologies, mistake, I misread (I somehow thought it said "airline" credits).  Of course it's possible, I've done this myself...

Do i have to pay the $450 Fee with my first statement or i can wait till my points post on my account and cancel it then? will there be a late fee for not paying the 450 on my due date?

Sometimes, the points won't even post before you pay your balance in full, and yes, if you don't clear your balance by the due date you'll pay a fee, no matter how that balance incurred.

"You will receive a full refund of the annual fee if the card is cancelled within 60 days of the fee posting."
I believe the full refund is only within 60 days of the card being open, not 60 days since the charge appears after the first closing. This is what a CSR once told me. Please confirm the Wiki.

"The refund will generally be posted to your account automatically upon closure. You can then click on "Dispute/Inquire about a charge" to have either A) a check mailed to you or B) the credit balance transferred to another card. Keep in mind that if you chose option B, the account you transfer the balance to will have its points reduced by the amount of the credit balance."
IME option B will only work if you are carrying a balance on the card you want to transfer the credit to. They did not want to give me a credit balance on another card. (The credit was for 1k)

I wrote a long post about that ESPECIALLY for you!
Feels good?
Now, please do the minimum and just click on it.
Thanks and good luck!

You wrote a long post on how to do this or an issue with trying to use United for the $200 ?
Reason I am asking is I followed the instructions for this and did it on United. (or I thought I followed the instructions)
I only paid 15% by switching to dansdeals

My two month's on plat. are soon over,
Is there any way to have annual fee waived?

Searching I did not see anyone that got it waived, am I right? only downgrading to free card as blue.

Unm.... I guess. You probably won't get more than 5k depending on how much you spent on it.
