You also call spg directly or chat from their website and give them code ui and they will
upgrade you.

IME giving the code is not enough anymore (abused?) now you have to send verification of your amex platinum status. i sent a screenshot of my statement and they upgraded me then.

I have gotten 2 amex cards in the past with 2 browsers. YMMV.

It is MAMASH unreal that I can call 2 different membership rewards agents and get 2 different stories..

Dan..do you know what the rule with refunds are? can I transfer my points to continental today and cancel my card today or better to wait another day?

I'm not sure this IS any rule, but I'd wait a few day after the transfer before canceling.

i dont want another credit check on my credit report, therefore can amex my blue card to the platinum and still receive the 50000 points

also have a gold card... will the points still stay in my account or do

They should stay. If you have 2 separate MR accounts just have AMEX merge them.

How long should it take for my points to post. My MR account says the points were earned January 1 but they still haven't posted to the account? Is this normal? I don't mind if I have to pay two months of the Platinum fee, but I feel like something fishy is going on. Any advice?

MR points typically take two billing cycles to post.

If I am trying to get the 450 annual fee refund....and I already got my mr points and transferred them...what do I tell AMEX why I am canceling in order to for sure get the refund?

this works with husband-wife MR accounts? can just be combined by calling?
