Hotel in Flushing NY
« on: December 09, 2010, 04:21:48 PM »
Hey thanks for this great forum (and site) I use it often but'v never posted before.
I'm heading to NY this Sunday (Dec 12) and need to stay overnight in Flushing (Queens) area. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice.
Price is my main issue though I wouldn't mind paying a little more for a lot more luxury.

Thanks,
Bronya

Gee, Thanks!

I was looking for something a little more complex than that from DansDeals though.

from what i've learned from the people on this site  ;) is that people here generally don't pay for hotels but use points and miles.....is that an option for you?

In the actual flushing area (jewish main st.) there arent much options as most are pretty seedy (pay by hour). If you were to venture out a bit to the surrounding areas, you could find decent hotels by La Guardia Airport, which is an 8-10 min drive.

and some of the la guardia chain hotels are not too nice - jfk, while a little further is much nicer - especially the spg...lga spg is in chinatown, many lga hotels charge for parking, and jfks do not. In kgh alone, there are no hotels...that u want to stay by...
