So do you think he was inside the interrogation room and saw it first hand?

Yes or no?

Hate to Mr. Obvious, but I think it's pretty clear which one it was.
Obviously not. I believe that there are people that know what is going on inside the prison, and Rav Sorotzkin heard from people he trusts that he's being starved. I'd expect a brilliant man like Rav Sorotzkin to have enough brains to verify that the story is true, b4 he made the claim in front of 5k+ people.

I translated your "first hand" to mean first hand from those in the know, not being in the interrogation room.

I guess I have a different mentality than you. My mentality is: if a Gadol makes a claim on something that I have no inside sources on, and he does, that I don't question his judgement, and say that maybe his info got broken telephoned.

How long after he went missing was it reported to police? And how long after that did they start searching?

I heard from people on the seen, that there are almost no police officers on the search seen... It's basically just Yeshiva Bochurim and other local volunteers... :'(

In cases like this it is not uncommon to find out that info that we all thought was reliable turns out to be incorrect. Not questioning anyone’s judgment it is just the way things work.
I just found a new supply of forks!

Did you miss that Rabbi Sorotzkin said that they are starving the kid? Are you accusing a Gadol B'Yisrael of lying?
I believe that it is factually correct. The context may be wrong though.
From the Israeli police perspective, if the partner is not being 100% open with them, for whatever reason, they are treating him like any other murder suspect would be treated inIsrael.
In Israel there is no real due process, this is just the way they do things when they need info.
From our POV the partner is obviously not a murderer, but he could be hiding something unrelated to this..... In the video it does not look like two good buddies going hiking. Something is missing..

If it's sortzkin from the kollels you're the first guy in the world to consider him a gadol

I love how everyone think that there is something odd that he waited till 6 to call the cops.  When I was in Israel I wouldn't have called till three days later!  I would never have assumed the guy is lost.  Also we are talking about a city park albeit a large one, and to leave someone there because you don't want to continue may be stupid but not criminal.  Finally,  anyone who has faith in the Israeli system has obviously not been at a hafgana.

It's R' Yitzchok Sorotzkin (former?) R"Y of Telz, now in Lakewood, who is a mechaber of more than 30 Seforim.

Certain parts of your post I agree with but by calling ya'ar yerushalaim a city Park I think you took it a step too far you got to remember that this is where the Arab boy was killed not too long ago and that story has not calmed down yet so the chances of something happening right now there are quite high. Also there is a reason why it actually happened there that place is HUGE the part of it that is considered a city Park is tiny part of it. It starts in bait vegan and goes all the way to Abu gosh it's full of shady stuff happening there and I happen to know someone that was kidnapped by a Arab and was driven to there (he jumped out of the driving car last minute bh) and that makes 100% sense. Bottom line I was just in israel last week that is one place that I would not step foot into roll this war is 100% over

Which one is it? If its a place where you can't get lost Then why do they need hundreds scouring the place? or is it a place that big and hard to find someone then how could he leave with out assuming he might be lost?
