The Note Edge will be the last great Samsung device IMHO.
Are they dropping the whole "Edge" thing altogether? or just from the Note?

Why didn't you just yank the battery out?
How's the new software?

I did. It doesn't help. Updates once you put it back in. I don't see much it a difference. I'll report in a few days. I was more concerned about the phone becoming slow like on my S5.

Are you going to cave and upgrade to a phone with embedded battery and no micro sd card slot one of these days?

I'm done with Samsung I have had enough.
My next phone is either the new Nexus or a HTC if they have something good to offer

Software
No surprise there. Have you checked out their newest version of touchwiz? Haven't played with it enough but at least it seems better than its been. Not that that is saying much.

Pardon my ignorance, I assume we're looking at batteries in chargers?

Anyone have a spare note edge? Is dan still using the note edge? Personally, I love the edge and haven't found a good replacement. Please let me know if there is something better or if/where I should replace my very used cracked note edge.

VZW started carrying batteries for this phone again.
My old batteries were totally shot, new ones are working great.

Nothing like this phone on the market that makes it worth upgrading from, even 3 years later.
Crazy!

I know you've had your issues with it, but I'd say the V20 is worth upgrading to.

After buying a few new batteries it's like a new phone.

There's been so little innovation in the past few years. Not only do I not feel like I'm missing much, but I still have external batteries, SD card, Foxfi WiFi, TV remote, etc.

And over the past 3 years I've dropped my phone dozens of times without any protection and it's never cracked. It's not waterproof, but I jumped into a hot tub to save my daughter after she fell into one last summer and the phone was fine as well.
Impressive build quality.
