Also if your flying F try to make very long transfer connections or check in a few hours before departure at the Airline Hub,  example check-in a few  hours before departure at LHR for BA F or a few hours before departure @ FRA LH F, even JFK has a very nice LH F lounge.

I hate Americans new A321 first class seats. I thought the space was cramped and uncomfortable even when putting it completely flat. At least on Cathay they put a mattress down so it gives a better cushion (also a lot more roomy). Give me back the old 747 2,2 and 2. They may have not lied flat but were a hell of a lot roomier. I know I'm really dating myself here. Most of you have never even flown a 747 (especially when the 1st class lounge used to be on top before they changed the top to business class).
Also, as a side bar, the Admiral's club in SFO was a huge disappointment. The only things that were free were yogurt covered pretzels and oriental rice snax. A bottle of water was $3.99.

Just flew a DL PHX-ATL-FLL-ATL-PHX
3 legs were 739 with newer F, PE system.
last leg was 752 no PE but larger old school seats, also more private cabin, no pax pass through.
So far favorite was UA IAH-SFO.

If its the old J, LH is out of the question. Personally I would go with UA F either way. Not that its something special, I wouldnt compare it to most other F cabins out there, but....

Good luck. It's going to be very tough to find 6 seats on one flight.

If you can split up, you'll have a lot more options.
