Reopening an Amex Platinum Card
« on: September 09, 2014, 10:19:59 AM »
Does anyone know if I cancel my platinum and reopen it whether they would give me the credit again.  the reason i ask is because I cancelled an account and then had to reopen it in order to get extended warranty coverage and when i tried logging into americanexpress.com/platinumairlinechoice it allowed me to select an airline for the credit again.  Has anyone done this and gotten the 200 credit?

I posted this in the main thread but noone responded as that thread seems to be pretty inactive.  Hoping someone sees this and can help.

Also, I am not interested in trying refundable stuff like PGGM as I was told by a Rav not to do it.

Bc someone can say, why dont you just try refundable spend and see if it will work and then no money lost.
I want to see if someone has actually done this in the past and gotten the credit.
