Friday late afternoon pricing gets really cheap in the shuk. I got plums for 1 shek, cucumbers for 2 shek, and other great deals. But its usually lower quality leftovers. But i think all prices go down significantly as shabbos gets closer.

FYI, just saw an analysis that rami levy beats Osher Ad in prices on almost everything surveyed

but there are different things to keep in mind here.
A. Rami Levy Talpiot (the one that was tested) - all vegetables are Heter Mechira. Hence the cheaper prices etc. Osher Ad- is Rav Efrati.

Also i would be interested to see if the same is true by Givat Shaul branches.

Closest would be on Strauss almost by Kikar Shabbos.
There is one with Belz hechsher at the end of Yaffo across city hall.

So Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching and I've never been a big fan of whole roasted turkey.  Plus they seem to be supporting Hamas.  So, anyone know where can you find Capon (kosher) in Israel?  I live in TA, but would be willing to drive to get it.

used or new? And they are very expensive but there is a place across from dushinskys and on Shmuel hanavi and bar illan.
