Try the free book swaps around town especially in
the English speaking neighborhoods.  Real hit or miss
but we got a whole library of English books over time
for the grandkids.

There are a few at Mannys (at least in Meah Shearim). I saw Berenstain Bears, I think there were more but don't remember.

The one that comes to mind (bec I walk past it everyday) is the home goods store opposite from Sam's Bagels in Geula, but I can't vouch for pricing.
