$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

I'm sure the amount of yq and other fees you paid is  alot, just saying...

But I would also call it free reletivly speaking.

Well, using that as the barometer, none of my travel has been free,  because I've had to pay Uncle Sam his 2.50/5.60 per leg.

And nobody else has had free travel either for that matter for the same reason.

Indeed,
However I was referring to the long haul flights on high yq carriers, e.g. lh, cx, etc...

Only YQ I've ever paid was on SQ. Every time I've flown LH and CX has been without YQ.
