$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Is YQ/taxes on HKG-JFK in J supposed to be ~$50pp ($77.60 Australian Dollars)? Was under the impression that it was less but that's what the rep told me when I put the res on hold today.

I just paid $76.16 for BKK-HKG-EWR in J.

AUH-JFK was on hold until 1/3 11:59pm GST, and it's gone already at 9:55pm GST.

How is this possible?

Nope, not even back into revenue inventory.

I had a similar thing with a hold I did that I didn't care if it expired. Not sure why.

According to an AA rep the hold time was Sydney time zone because that's the department that put it on hold, which i don't believe is true.
I had a similar thing with a CX hold, it expired a few hours before it was actually supposed to.

The strangest thing is that it's not even back into revenue inventory.

So they claimed it's was SYD time and online it said GST?

I just checked a hold I put on with AA via the AU desk and it states the hold being live until 1/4 11:59 JST time. Very strange as JST is not the time zone in AU.

What it shows online is not always accurate.

Being that the hold expires automatically at a set time, you wouldn't assume that it would expire at 11:59 JST?

Upgrading a J award to an F will trigger $150 reinstate?
I had an AAgent try charging me for that last night.

Shouldn't cost anything. Only if you downgrade, not upgrade IINM

Anyone know what's up with availability on the JFK-DUS route? They have a bunch of availability until March 5th, and then nothing at all. They're not cancelling the route (at least according to Google), but do they just not release anything till later?
ETA: There's also nothing else till the end of the calendar.

TXL too. Funny because I've been booked on an AB flight TXL-JFK for 3 months for end of March. Used AA to book those. Now nothing showing even for revenue on AB. Mentioned this upthread.
