$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

how do I book cx with AA points ?

and when do they open up nyc to BKk
PUTPAC AA. They don't fly directly to BKK, so you need to search for 2 flights.

Is it normal that I called to issue a ticket on Monday and it's still on request? Isn't it supposed to be ticketed within 48hrs?

Does it involve EY? If it does I've heard it's normal, but my EY tickets took around 56 hours to ticket.

I had that as well with EY. Mine got issued at around 24 hours, DW's didn't get issues until 56 or so hours.

No. PUTPAC.
Called them. Apparently there was a mistake in the notes and once they cleared it up, they ticketed immediately. Now to choose seats. Booked a CX flight through AA. How do I select seats? CX website?

I have 220k AA miles that I am trying to burn this summer by going away with my wife. I am really trying not to pay any fuel surcharges while getting to any European destination. Please share any tips on not pay fuel surcharges as every search I do there is only availability on BA and they have crazy charges. Is there anything to do or do I just need to stick with going somewhere in the western hemisphere?
Try searching to DUS or TXL on AB.

When I do that there is no AB flight options at all. only BA making me route through LHR. Is there a better search than AA.com to using AA miles. It is crazy that there have no AB award flights at all...

Do CX inter Asia flights open up to partner awards when it gets closer to departure the same way it does for long haul flights?

I booked a Award flight JFK- Mad - TLV return TLV - MAD - JFK - Miami. I tried changing the date on the Miami portion to a later date. CS is not letting unless I pay $150.00 and 25000 points it is a Business Class Ticket. I was able to do this 2 years ago. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.

Years ago. The only time a greater than 24 hour layover is legal is when it's connecting to the next available flight.
