I have two saver rewards on hold from Philadelphia to Miami for next week. I realized I could save on the closing fees if I book via BA but now one way is unavailable at the saver level. What are the chances that if I release the seats they become available?

FWIW, I booked and cancelled a domestic ticket this week with BA on AA and it returned to inventory immediately.

Me too, but I wonder if you were to cancel later in the game, if it goes back.

Thanks guys for the replies.

I didn't release the hold, but saver availability just opened up and I was able to book on BA, saving $150 (and 20k points)!

Yes. but only when there was nothing else available and it was to complete a party of two where the Itnl flight had two seats and the domestic only had one.

Going to have to end up cancelling EY F, and CX J, that I locked in pre deval.
Is there anyway to reschedule, and not have to pay the new rates ?

Yes, try re routing via MIA, IAD or ORD, Hurricane season is coming up!!!

Reschedule time wise? Sure- as long as O/D stay the same, the new chart won't take effect.

Can I cancel without redeposit, and whenever I figure out when the trip can work, reschedule it then according to the old chart ?

yes as long as the origin and destination stay the same and you have up to 1 year from when you originally booked to use it

In February I booked a pre-deval award flight LAX-MCO for a November flight.

I have to cancel and I doubt we will go to MCO within the next 12 months.

I can/will go to other destinations this year and next.

What are my options and the ramifications?

there is no difference for LAX-MCO pre-deval and post-deval unless you are flying through MIA on 3-class plane

Depends why. A schedule change resulting in a misconnect was how I got AA to open up AA F JFK-LAX (which is where I am right now coincidentally).

IS it worth it to go for AA F on this route or is J basically the same?

I've read lots of reports that J is actually more comfortable.

Flew F on this route a couple of times. Have J booked for end of August so can compare then.

J is certainly better is flying with someone else if you want to sit together.

F is nice even with flying with someone, though it's certainly easier to talk without straining your heads in J.
