Question: I am looking at award flights between CPT/JNB and the Seychelles. On the AA Award chart intra-Africa is 10k econ and 17.5k Biz...but the only way to route to SEZ is through the middle east. Will that routing work for those award rates?

Try *A. SA flies JNB-SEZ.

I have a ticket booked from bkk- sfo on etihad. If I cancel will I be charged $150 x2 being that AA booked it as two awards? Should I just change the date and hope for a time change?

A) change the date and add a evening domestic flight. They have the highest time change rate.
B) try combining the tickets through AA and only pay $150

No but you can add LAX-SFO

I believe aa charges 25 for additional redeposits at one time, so you're looking at 175, not 300.

I think that's only for multiple pax on the same pnr.

It's $150 per ticket not per award.

Have you experienced #2. I am in the same position, and may need to redeposit the 2 Awards. How should I convince them to make it one award?

I had YVR-SEA-JFK-LIM-CUZ booked in J pre-deval at 30k in J on AS/AA/LA. I tried changing to YVR-JFK-LIM-CUZ on CX/LA.
Rep said airline changes will result in repricing in new chart at 35K. Is she correct?

No. LA is a one world partner so CX should be added without rebooking.

Right, because the award goes from one that has a non OW partner to one that has exclusively OW partners, so it reprices.
