$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

What is the timeframe for redeposit of AA miles after cancellation and redeposit? Its been a week since they charged me for the redeposit but the miles havent been replaced in the account.

Call. That does not sound usual at all. I did it twice last week and the miles were back in the account within minutes.

Thanks called them and they redeposited while on the phone.

Need to go TLV-ORD (OW).  There is really good award availability AMM-JFK.  Can I book that trip and add on the TLV-AMM and JFK-ORD legs later for no additional points?

Any data points on whether RJ goes back into inventory immediately after cancelling an AA hold?

If there's availability TLV-AMM in J only, and AMM-ORD in Y only, is there a way to combine the booking so as not to spend 70k points (30k TLV-AMM, 40k AMM-ORD) for the ticket?

They only release J on that leg for some reason even though that flight is usually 2/3rds empty.
You can book it for 9k avios and around $75.

Very helpful - thanks.  Does that mean you can never get TLV-ORD via AMM in Y (booking w/AA)?

I would take that to be a reasonable assumption.

NO points change? I have LAX - BKK Business. Called CS to add on JFK to LAX will trigger redeposit and new ticket (hence new mile chart). Is this a case of HUCA? OR is the previous case different then mine?

whenever you change the origin or destination it is considered a new award and would require a change fee plus the difference in mileage but actually if you just need to add more miles there won't be a fee. You just pay the additional miles as the fee is for re-depositing miles.

Thanks, they are saying EY Etihad is not a one world alliance partner and they can only modify one world partners only. Does that make sense?
